Shortly after Armenia’s parliamentary elections on 7 June, ICEUR-Vienna conducted an interview with Edmon Marukyan, Chairman of the Bright Armenia Party, to discuss the country’s future, the state of Armenian democracy, and the ongoing challenges surrounding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. For Edmon Marukyan, democracy in Armenia is currently “in a very bad situation.” However, Marukyan still sees “the resources and the political will as a nation to build a European model state.”
