Energy politics are caught between growing demand, the requirements of transformation, business and national interests as well as the limits of available technologies. Speaking before a select group of specialists and practitioners, our guests highlighted various aspects of this complex problem with a shared focus on the European dilemmas. As it appears, Europe´s main problem is diversity which limits common policies. At the end of the day, the speakers agreed, Europe will have to cut a deal with Russia, trading a price cap on energy imports to mobilize financial resources for Ukrainian reconstruction.
