The preliminary results of the presidential elections in Belarus give current president Lukachenko 80% of the votes. We have asked Professor Vladislav Inozemtsev for his take on the results and the reaction/course of action Russia might assume.
Vladislav Inozemtsev is a Russian economist and a leading supporter of the new industrialization of Russia. He is the director and founder of the Center for Post-Industrial Studies in Moscow, a nonprofit institution that specializes in organizing conferences on global economic issues and publishing books. He is a professor and the chair at the Department of World Economy, Faculty of Public Governance, Moscow State Lomonosov University and previously resided in Vienna as a senior visiting fellow at the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen (IWM).
