With the round table “The Conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh: Opportunities for a Dialogue”, held on 10 May, 2021, ICEUR launched a process expected to lead towards a dialogue between the Armenian and Azerbaijan sides. The round table in Vienna convened an Armenian delegation consisting of representatives of political parties and experts as well as virtual participants from Azerbaijan NGOs and international experts and observers. Its major objective was to sound out the opportunities for a political dialogue and to give both sides the opportunity to present their views.

This event is planned as a first step to be followed by a similar round table with a mirror-inverted cast, namely a physically present Azerbaijan delegation with Armenian virtual participants. Drawing on the results of the first event, ICEUR feels encouraged to make additional mileage.
